About us

Culture Stories is a new way of curating culture.

An online magazine and concept shop for women of style and substance. A website putting the Cult back into Culture.

Each week we publish The Culture Edit, curating stories around a theme and editing the best books to read, art to see, styles to wear, places to go and thoughts to think. With each Edit we invite a curator – real or imaginary – to give us their perspective on what’s cool in the world of culture. Like that time Miss Piggy curated the colour Pink!

Where art meets fashion and books meet travel essentials, you’ll find our Concept Shop.

Browse each theme from The Culture Edit in the Shop, where we’ve hand picked cult products you’ll want to add to your everyday life – from the novels that will make your head spin to the shoes that will make your feet dance.  Our editors and guest curators have got you covered. Our Shop features edits of cult products as well as a capsule collection of limited editions and collaborations with independent designs.

Culture Stories is based in London with contributors and readers all over the world.

Co-founders and best friends Caitlin Robinson and Sofia Tillo first met as anthropologists studying at the University of Oxford. They have since researched, travelled, and shopped all around the world together. Fueled by a desire to share their appreciation for global cultures, art and independent design, they launched Culture Stories in 2016.

Caitlin Robinson enjoys smoked aubergines, all things babushka and surprising people with her secret Arabic skills. She can't decide if her favourite drink is a Martini Bianco or a Negroni - but either way she has the sensibility of a Mediterranean octogenarian. Like most Italian grandfathers, she's also into bocce. Her PhD degree in Anthropology is framed and hanging proudly in her bathroom. Caitlin is a Managing Director and Co-Founder at Culture Stories.

Sofia Tillo doesn't like pina coladas or getting caught in the rain. She is an exemplary dog parent, average coffee maker and sub-par sportswoman. Degrees in Politics, Philosophy and Anthropology have contributed to the deterioration of her eyesight. She's recently taken to saying 'On Fleek' around the office. Sofia is a Managing Director and Co-Founder at Culture Stories.
